Cultivating Gratitude: a silent daylong retreat
“It is not happiness that makes us grateful. It’s gratefulness that makes us happy.” –David Steindl-Rast
Join Stephanie Nosco this October, the Friday before Thanksgiving, for a day of silence celebrating the theme of gratitude. We will start the day with a morning of silent reflection, Qigong, gentle yoga, walking meditation and intention setting. A delicious, local vegetarian lunch will be served. In the afternoon, we will talk about the theme of gratitude, and work to cultivate the vibration of gratefulness through our meditation and yin yoga practice, which will encourage the opening of the energy pathways of the heart and lungs. We will end with a guided relaxation and crystal bowl sound bath. Please bring a journal and pen, comfortable walking shoes, a yoga mat and a small blanket for comfort. It is strongly encouraged that you turn off cell phones for the day, leave them in your car.
The retreat will begin at 9:30 am and close between at 4 pm. The new retreat venue is east of Priddis at Ann & Sandy Cross conservation center. There are tons of walking paths and mountains views on this land. The land was chosen due to its larger size and more remote location.
