5 Week Online Qigong Series
Qigong is the oldest branch of Traditional Chinese Energy Medicine, dating back to over 5000 years. “Qi”, means life force, and “gong”, means skill, or mastery. Qigong is the practice of working with our energy skillfully in order to master our personal power and potential for healing.
Like yoga, Qigong combines gentle movement, breath, and meditation to cultivate, balance and harmonize our energy. While there are many different forms of Qigong, Medical Qigong works with each organ system specifically in order to prevent and even treat disease. In this series, you will learn the basics of how to practice medical Qigong, and how to integrate simple practices in your life in order to uplift your energetic vibration. You will also learn about the different physical, emotional and spiritual functions of each organ and will be encouraged to listen inwardly to their messages. Guided visualizations and meditation will be given to awaken and connect you to the intelligence of your body.
This course will take place live over Zoom Conferencing, Friday at 12:00-12:50 pm MST starting March 20th. Video recordings will be made available through Nosco Yoga online studio. In response to COVID-19, this series will be offered freely but donations are very much appreciated.
Week 1: March 20th.
The lungs: processing grief and sadness, how to let go and flow with the changes of life
Week 2: March 27th.
The Kidneys. How to work with fear and transform it into skilful response, understanding purpose.
Week 3: April 3rd.
The Liver: how to process and move anger and transform it into compassion
Week 4: April 10th.
The heart: working with anxiety. Listening to the heart to find the truth
Week 5: April 17
The spleen: trusting the unknown, and calming over-thinking.
